Sports Arena To Change Name To Credit Union Centre

Five credit unions in this market are splitting the $1.6-million cost over 10 years to change the name of this city's arena, Saskatchewan Place, to Credit Union Centre. One-million dollars of that fee is being paid upfront. The five credit unions will help market Credit Union Centre events as part of the sponsorship deal. The agreement does not prevent the facility from booking events sponsored by competitors, such as the Bank of Montreal figure skating championship.
