DENVER-Security Service FCU continued to grow its Denver presence with the acquisition of ailing Aurora Catholic FCU.
The acquisition of the $11-million credit union, which lost $835,000 last year, will add an office in Aurora for the $5 billion San Antonio-based Security Service.
It follows Security Service's 2004 acquisition of troubled Diakonia in Denver, and a 2007 deal for failed New Horizons Community FCU of Denver.
As a result of the latest deal, Security Service will operate six branches in the Denver market and 13 in Colorado.
