Suffolk Federal Credit Union, a $1 billion-asset institution based in Medford, NY, has named Ralph D. Spencer Jr. as its new president & chief executive officer.
Prior to this promotion, Spencer served as the credit union’s EVP & chief operating officer. He has also served as Suffolk FCU’s chief lending officer.
Spencer has more than 37 years of lending and retail banking experience.
“He brings a wealth of banking knowledge to Suffolk Federal and we are certain that his extensive experience will help to escalate Suffolk Federal’s products, services and member relationships to the next level,” James J. Maggio Jr., chairman of the board of directors at Suffolk FCU, said of Spencer.
Spencer earned his B.S. degree in business from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas and also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin.
