The credit union is the first company to be granted naming rights for a district facility, under a new policy approved by the school board to allow for names of businesses attached to facilities, in exchange for donations.

The $99,537 donation for the Summit Credit Union Baseball Field pays for about a third of the cost of the field, which will have artificial turf on the infield.

The school board approved the naming rights agreement Monday night. It will be in effect for 20 years
