TAMPA, Fla. – Suncoast Schools FCU said it has installed new ARCA CM18 cash recycling machines in 13 of its 53 branches, with additional cash dispenser upgrades to be made later this year.

“This upgrade allows us to focus more on serving our members instead of counting, banding and denominating cash,” said JoAnn Allen, teller operations manager for the $5-billion credit union.

The ARCA CM18 cash recycler is designed as a flexible solution that works in high- or low-cash volume branches. The recycler automatically counts, authenticates and secures cash deposited. The same cash becomes immediately available for withdrawals, eliminating the need for tellers to manually process cash. The company said this technology provides the branch with reduced transaction times, improved teller accuracy, increased security and more efficient control over its cash inventory.

The credit union said the choice of the ARCA CM18s was made for ease of use, reduced teller outages, reduced time spent balancing teller drawers, and the ability to use up to 12 cassettes.
