NEW ORLEANS – ASI FCU is closing its 14 branches and giving its 200 employees the day off to celebrate the local New Orleans Saints’ role in yesterday’s Super Bowl.
"Our staff is our biggest resource, and they deserve to share in this celebration. Morale is important," said ASI CEO Mignhon Tourné.
ASI, which is based in Harahan, went to great lengths to plan its Monday closure. The credit union recorded a voice message for all callers to hear, put up signs in each of its branches and posted an announcement about its closure on the ASI Web site.
