ATLANTA -
Synergistics Research said its survey also asked which of four methods-fingerprint scanning, retinal scanning, signature verification, or voice recognition-they are most comfortable.
More than four in ten said they are more comfortable with fingerprint recognition, while one-quarter choose retinal scanning, one in eight are most comfortable with signature verification, and less than one-tenth cited voice recognition.
"In this environment, consumers are not only willing to accept, but are asking for increased security methods from their financial institutions," said Genie M. Driskill, chief operating officer of SYNERGISTICS. "The biometric security method consumers are most comfortable with is fingerprint scanning and should be seriously considered by providers as a vital addition to security and anti-fraud strategies."
