Suspect Charged As 'Mr. MagooBandit'

DENVER - (04/20/05) -- A man believed responsible for asmany as 20 area bank and credit union robberies was indictedTuesday on six federal charges connected to area hold-ups,including the Feb. 11 heist at Columbine FCU in Centennial. TylerHamilton, 43, dubbed the 'Mr Magoo Bandit,' because of thickblack-framed glasses he wore during most of the hold-ups, wasarrested March 23 at a remote mountain cabin owned by a familymember. Authorities said the robber would strike every day and hitas many as three institutions in a single day.
