Suspect In CU Heist Arrested Later At Blackjack Table

UNCASVILLE, Ct. -- A man believed to have robbed Pawtucket CU in Cranston, R.I., Saturday morning was arrested a few hours later playing cards at nearby Mohegan Sun casino here with $1,400 of the stolen loot in his pocket. Vincent Rampone, 52, was spotted around 8 pm Saturday by security guards at the casino who had been given photos of the suspect, police said. Rampone allegedly confessed to the morning credit union hold-up after he was arrested. He faces extradition to Rhode Island to face charges of bank robbery and larceny.
