TULSA, Okla. A man who was shot after allegedly robbing a Tulsa Teachers CU branch last week was arrested after he was discovered on the floor of a home in that area and transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his left arm.
The suspect entered the branch just before 1 p.m. Wednesday wearing a ski mask and jumped over a counter and demanded money from employees, according to police. He then placed an undisclosed amount of cash into a backpack before heading to another counter to seize additional money from the cash drawers.
A security guard chased the robber and fired several shots at him after he refused to comply with orders to surrender.
About 15 minutes later, emergency medical technicians responded to a call that someone who had been shot in the arm was in the home. Dehrain Eugene Berry Wilson, 22, was transported to a local hospital. During a search of the home, police found clothing that matched that worn by the man at the scene of the robbery, as well as large amounts of cash stashed in a red backpack.
Police also found a loaded revolver and a black ski mask outside a fenced yard.
