MOORHEAD, Minn. – A man who last Aug. 20 used a knife to threaten an employee at Affinity Plus CU to steal $7,700 was sentenced to 41 months in prison and ordered to pay restitution.

David Dornbach, 47, entered the credit union and told employees he was interested in opening an account, then reached over an employee’s desk while holding a knife and demanded money.
The employee gave Dornbach money and he fled. He was arrested later the same day in a hotel room in nearby Fargo, N.D.
