At the end of 2006, NCUA data shows 116 credit unions with assets over $1 billion collectively returning an average of .86% on assets. The two credit unions standing at the top of the ROA performance list were Arrowhead Central and Mountain America recording 2006 returns of 1.73% and 1.70%, respectively.
