BETHLEHEM, Penn. – A member of Teachers FCU was charged with cashing two forged checks and trying to cash another for a total of $13,000.
Ricardo Rodriguez, 23, cashed the checks by forging the name of Steve Dolak of the Bethlehem Boys Club. Dolak told police the signatures were clearly forged and he did not authorize the transactions, records say. Rodriguez also tried to cash a $7,000 check on May 9, but that check was blocked by a hold on the account, records say.
Rodriguez told police he spent some of the stolen money and was robbed of the rest.
