Leominster Revamps Website
LEOMINSTER, Mass.-Members and non-members alike can access Leominster Credit Union's database of breaking news at the CU's revamped website. The new feature, which displays the latest video and hard copy news, is part of the site's overhaul that was created to reflect the credit union's new brand message, "Be Somebody." Using the latest in technology to improve member service is a big part of LCU's strategic plan it put in place about a year ago. By 2012 the $443-million credit union LCU wants to be recognized as an industry leader, with products, services, and employees that exceed the expectations of its membership. LCU also plans to build a 29,500 square foot facility to serve as a centralized back office location.

SECU Adds 'Activity Today'
RALEIGH, N.C.-State Employees' Credit Union has added a new feature to its Member Access online banking platform that identifies transactions that have been authorized by the account holder, but have not fully posted. The new feature, called Activity Today, also allows the member to see individual transaction amounts, and a description of where the charge or credit originated. In the past, members could see a cumulative figure for authorized transactions but there was no breakdown of the charges. Activity Today's features "will certainly help members with the day-to-day balancing of their accounts," said a SECU senior vice president. "With the previous cumulative total of debits and credits, it was very difficult to determine what transactions were included, so this is a huge improvement that will positively affect our numerous online users."
