CU*EasyPay Enrollment Up

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-A collaborative effort between 41 credit unions to increase CU*EasyPay! enrollment resulted in an increase of 16% in electronic bill payments during the final two months of 2008 compared to the previous two months. For its participation, WySouth CU won a 9-inch Dell Mini laptop in a random drawing that capped off the enrollment contest.

In other news, the firm said it now has two-dozen CUs using CU*Answers's 247 Lender, the CUSO announced. The automated decision tool works with Portfolio Defense Consulting Group and ZOOT to provide decisioning models which give automated approvals 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

WKFS Takes Over For DPS

Fiserv Adds RE Support

BROOKFIELD, Wis.-After moving nearly all of its clients to its new .NET platform and rebranding its business units under the parent company's name, Fiserv has reintroduced its Premier Credit Union Platform as Portico, the firm said. 348 credit unions chose to use the next-generation account processing solution, including nearly every credit union formerly using Premier, as well as 52 newly signed clients. The new .NET platform will provide client CUs with greater ease of use and help them streamline operations and enhance service, the tech provider said.

Fiserv announced it has expanded its Common Origination Platform to include real estate lending support. The COP helps lenders manage every aspect of loan origination and allows lenders to administer all types of their loans holistically instead of within traditional silos. Lenders also have more control over the origination process as the platform automatically applying business rules across the organization.

In other news, CheckFree, part of Fiserv, is adding Corporate One FCU to its list of CheckFree AdvantageFee clients. Corporate One previously used an in-house semi-automated system to handle its client billing and revenue management processes.

Additionally, Fiserv's Source Capture Suite earned Aite Group's top ranking in Aite's report titled "Branch and Teller Capture: A Vendor Overview."

CUTEK Signs 10 CUs

MURRIETA, Calif.-CUTEK, a financial technology development and consulting firm for credit unions using Symitar's Episys core processing system, has signed 10 more credit unions to use its Correio Address Validation Server solution. These CUs can now validate and standardize addresses at the point of entry with the United States Postal Service; immediately mitigating any incorrect addresses for the future.

In addtional news, CUTEK has helped Lenexa, Kansas-based CU of Johnson County with its recent merger with Free State CU by integrating the latter's database into CU of Johnson County's Episys system. Earlier in 2008 CUTEK implemented a marketing extract program that provided CU of Johnson County with the ability to derive targeted marketing extract files and then put together targeted marketing campaigns to its membership.

Imprivata Signs 30 CUs

LEXINGTON, Mass.-More than 30 credit unions have looked to Imprivata to take care of their security issues the company announced. With fewer resources than their big bank counterparts, CUs are using products like Imprivata's OneSign appliance platform, which offers authentication management and single sign-on to solve access and compliance challenges. The product has also receive "top ratings" from several industry publications, the firm said.

uMonitor Cites Strong 2008

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-uMonitor ended 2008 with 30% revenue growth and an over 60% acquisition and retention rate, the company announced. uMonitor clients experienced a jump of over 90% in new account applications and a 30% volume growth in account to account transfers. Despite the recession, CEO Dinesh Sheth sees positive developments for the company this year as well.

Mortgage Solution Available

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Point 6.2b, Calyx software's latest iteration of its mortgage origination solution, is now available for download the company said. The new version of Point addresses the mandatory compliance update for the new RESPA Rules, which went into effect in mid-January. Synergent Adds MBTA ECU

WESTBROOK, Maine- Synergent Technology Services has added Mass.-based MBTA Employees Credit Union to its growing list of core processing clients the company said. The $174-million CU inked a deal with Synergent to convert to the Episys core system, making adding another institution to the more than 50 CUs that Synergent has converted to Episys in the last four years.

CU Chooses Metavante

MILWAUKEE-Metavante has been chosen by CU Central of Manitoba to provide the trade association document design and archive solutions. The payments services provider will create and store monthly check image statements and offer e-statements delivery to the province's 48 credit unions. The association plans to use Metavante's CSF® Designer and VisionContent:Reports for member statement customization and storage.

FCFCU Signs With IMM

LINDEN, N.J.-Integrated Media Management, a document output management and automation technology provider, has installed its Teller Item Capture solution interfaced with First Community FCU's in-house core processing system Datasafe the company announced.

The Parchment, Mich.-based credit union has used IMM's products to eliminate courier costs, cut down on back office time and increase teller productivity. Integrating the two systems allows for "check scanning at time of presentment and decreases back-office processes," First Community FCU's branch operations manager said.

VSoft Makes Top 10 List

ATLANTA-Atlanta Business Magazine named VSoft Corporation to its "Top 10 Fastest Growing Companies in Atlanta" list because of its 105% revenue growth in the last three years the information and technology provider said.

The magazine only recognizes companies based in metro Atlanta with a minimum of $5 million in revenue. VSoft's strong growth also attracted the attention of Inc. and Software Magazine this year which placed the firm on its own prestigious lists.

MVi Grows 13.5% In 2008

SALT LAKE CITY-The worldwide recession is not slowing down Millennial Vision Inc. The $64-million credit union's VP-finance said the move, and the partnership with CU*South will "bring enhanced financial services to the credit union members, and keep costs low."

Fuze Reports 99.99% Uptime

SEATTLE-Out of the 8,766 hours in a year, Fuze Digital Solutions's hosting infrastructure was only down for a little over two of them in 2008. Since its founding in 2002, the company has had less than 300 minutes of combined scheduled and unscheduled downtime. Its 99.99% uptime is "industry leading" the firm said.

Summit Works With CRI

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Summit Credit Union has signed an agreement with CRI Solutions to serve as the beta test site for the technology solutions firm's new CRIterion Performance Dashboard.

The new application provides sales tracking and desktop reporting giving a credit union the ability to easily track their sales and loan production statistics by individuals, teams, branches or the whole institution.

CRIterion Performance Dashboard also includes the ability to sort production by status and view custom member service activities.
