JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - (07/01/05) As would be expected from Marine FCU,its first-ever Teen Financial Boot Camp has beencompleted, with MFCU saying it was so popular two will be scheduledfor 2006. Held at its corporate headquarters from 9 to 3 each day,19 recruits ages 12-16 gathered in a training roomdecorated in a military theme. The Senior Drill Instructor wasMarine FCUs Financial Instructor, Pete Gante (USMC SgtMajRet.). The curriculum was based on the NEFE High School Program,but also included morning physical training (PT). According to thecredit union, chow was provided, which most recruitssaid was the highlight of the day. There was no charge for thecamp, with the only requirement being that recruits also bemembers.
