Teller Convicted Of Staged Robbery

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - A 22-year-old former teller at Corporate America Family CU pleaded guilty to plotting with her boyfriend to rob the CU in a heist that netted $38,250. Crystal Bass gave the cash to her boyfriend's roommate after telling the two how the credit union had been robbed before when a man "simply handed the teller a demand note." The 21-year-old boyfriend, Joshua Hreha, had decided to stage the robbery the day after the Memorial Day holiday, on June 1, 2006, because Bass expected the credit union to have more cash on hand at that time.
