Teller Fingers College Classmate In CURobbery

BANGOR, Me. - (08/11/05) -- A 19-year-old former student at theUniversity of Maine pleaded guilty to robbing the University CU InBangor last April of $2,200 after he was identified by a teller whosaid she had taken classes with him. Steven Bell, of Bangor, waspicked up two days after the hold-up at his apartment, where policefound practice demand notes, which matched the note he handed tothe teller during the robbery. Bell was not armed during therobbery despite a note which indicated he was.
