Virginia Mecham, 40, also will serve three years of supervised release and pay restitution in the amount of $23,625. She pleaded guilty in February.

Members of the credit union, in Idaho Falls, contacted the credit union in December 2011 to ask about unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts. An examination of the questionable transactions determined they all were handled by Mecham, who was a credit union teller.

During an interview with credit union officials, Mecham admitted embezzling the money and admitted that she spent it on various personal expenses.
