RICHARDSON, Texas – One lucky member of Texans CU and his wife will be watching next week’s major league All-Star Game in person at New York’s Yankee Stadium, courtesy of the credit union’s summer check and check card promotion.
The all-expenses paid trip to Yankee Stadium was won by Steven Guggenbuehl for opening a new checking account. Guggenbuehl was the winner of Texans’ 2008 Summer Send-Off Promotion – a six-week promotion which encouraged members to open a new checking account and use their Texans Check Card for everyday purchases. Members using their check card for a minimum of ten signature-based transactions were automatically entered to win a trip for two to NYC to attend the game.
Guggenbuehl, who made 22 qualifying transactions during the promotion, won the prize package, which included roundtrip airfare for two, a 2-night stay at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, a $1,000 Texans Visa Gift Card--two tickets to the All-Star Game.
