Texas CUs Join With Banks In Anti-Fraud Effort

The Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) said it is joining with The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), Texas Savings and Community Bankers Association (TSCBA) and Southwest Automated Clearing House Association (SWACHA) in an effort to cut fraud. The groups plan to work as a single entity to provide fraud alerts and other services to their respective members, the league said. The Network will also be available to members of the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma (CBAO), through their alliance with IBAT. The day-to-day management of the project will be handled by SWACHA, which already provides an established fraud alert system for its members.
