AUSTIN, Texas – Pay to credit union directors still is rare in the Lone Star State, one of the few states that allow credit union boards to be paid.
A report issued yesterday found just 13 of the more than 220 state chartered credit unions pay fees to directors for attending meetings. The fees range from $20 to $300 per meeting. Five credit unions pay fees to committee members for attending meetings. Those fees range from $8 to $100 per meeting.
