But he didn't use a stolen or counterfeited ATM card — he used a forklift.

The crook, caught on video by the $400 million CU's security camera, lifted the ATM cleanly off its moorings and then placed the cash machine in the back of a pickup truck and drove away.

The criminal is still at large. The amount of money stolen has not been released.

Odessa Police said the crime was committed just before 1:30 a.m., and noted that whoever stole the ATM planned the heist well.

"Obviously the person who did it knew what they were doing," Cpl. Steve LeSueur, with Odessa Police, said.

Surveillance shows a dark-colored truck making its getaway. Investigators are now going over details from the video. They're also looking into nearby construction sites for possible leads.

Officials said there's a good chance the forklift was stolen. The FBI is now heading the investigation.

Officials released a description of the possible suspect vehicle. Police believe it's a dark-colored Ford F-150 with running boards.
