MARYVILLE, Tenn. - (03/17/06) A team of burglars broke into alocal convenience store here early Tuesday morning and tore openthe Alcoa Tenn FCU ATM, making off with more than $20,000 in cashfrom the machine. The thieves apparently smashed a hole in thestores concrete wall to enter the building. The ATM had beenfilled with cash the previous Friday and the value of the machineand its contents was about $25,000, police said. Assorted cash andchange valued at more than $4,000 was also stolen from elsewhere inthe store.
