AKRON, Ohio – Towpath CU has pledged a five-year contribution of $100,000 to the University of Akron’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
In return, the seventh level at InfoCision Stadium/Summa Field, where the working media will be located, will be named the Towpath Credit Union Press Box through 2013, with an option for an additional five years through 2018.
The Towpath CU Press Box will feature a 52-seat area for the media, a 25-foot broadcast booth for TV stations, two 15-foot broadcast booths for home and visiting radio stations, one 10-foot broadcast booth for an additional radio station, three positions for TV cameras, a secure instant-replay booth, booths for both coaching staffs, a booth each for visiting dignitaries, overflow media/guests and a video and audio production booth. There also will be a common hospitality area, as well as multiple restroom facilities and elevators.
