BROOMFIELD, Colo. — The $151 million Community Financial CU here and the $66 million Boulder Municipal Employees FCU plan to merge this fall.
The boards of both organizations have approved the consolidation plan. The deal is pending regulatory approval and a vote by members of the Boulder, Colo.-based BMEFCU.
CFCU will be the continuing institution, having three offices after a new location is opened in Broomfield later this year.
"We believe that this is the right decision, at the right time, and for the right reasons," said Ann Babiak, CEO of Boulder Municipal. There is tremendous competition in our industry and this move will allow us to grow and ensure long-term value for our members."
"BMEFCU has a loyal membership base and will be a great partner," said CFCU CEO Greg Hill. "We look forward to providing our collective membership groups great service and value."
