Two Credit Unions Sign On for Fiserv's OnCu Core

Two credit unions are converting to Fiserv's OnCu core processing system.

Badlands Federal Credit Union in Glendive, Mont., and Danville City Employees Federal Credit Union in Danville, Va., have partnered with the Brookfield, Wis.-based Fiserv, a provider of financial services technology, to offer their members speedier digital banking, payments and card management tools.

Fiserv said in a press release Tuesday that it will customize the software-as-a-service solution suites for each credit union. OnCu includes a Virtual Branch for online banking, Check Free RXP for electronic payments, Popmoney for personal payments, WireXchange for wire transfers, and solutions for item processing and member statements.

The $27 million-asset Badlands said it will outsource key technology to reduce cost, mitigate risk and allow staff to concentrate on building relationships with its 3,000 members.

"We want to have innovative technology in place to remain relevant and deliver impactful products and services in line with the evolving needs of our members," Shiloh Smeltzer, president and chief executive of Badlands, said in the release.

Danville City Employees, a $25 million-asset credit union with 2,400 members, said turned to Fiserv to help the CU gain more efficiencies, as well as to enable it offer strong technological solutions, such as mobile banking, to its membership.

"Fiserv will help us operate more efficiently as we modernize our member experience through a new core platform with enhanced digital and mobile solutions," said Lisa Tickle, manager of Danville City Employees.
