NILES, Mich. – Two young robbers pleaded guilty Friday to charges related to last January’s hold-up at Berrien Teacher’s CU, during which a third accomplice was shot to death by an armed guard.

Travis Curry, 22, and Glenn Porter, 22, both of Elkhart, Ind. pleaded guilty to robbery and weapons charges and are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
Porter was hit while trying to escape while a third man, 22-year-old Deverance Kimbrough was shot twice during the getaway and died later after his accomplices dropped him off at a nearby hospital.
