Two Wisconsin Credit Unions Merge with TruStone

TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union in Plymouth, Minn., has merged with Wisconsin-based Southshore Credit Union of Cudahy and First Credit Union of Oak Creek.

The two credit unions officially became a part of TruStone Financial Jan. 1. Following the deal, TruStone Financial will have nearly $1.1 billion in assets and 13 branch locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The deals were approved by members of Southshore and First in December. Altogether, TruStone Financial has made five acquisitions in as many years.

"TruStone Financial's impressive growth has been spurred by loan and deposit expansion but has been complemented by bringing other credit unions into the fold," TruStone chief executive Tim Bosiacki said in a statement. "Our growth, while important, is secondary to the high quality service we provide our new and existing members."
