The $2.7 billion-asset credit union's downtown Dayton Main Street location was robbed Wednesday, and its 3530 W. Siebenthaler Ave. branch was held up Thursday morning. A local news station's website reported that investigators believe the same person committed both crimes.

Both robberies occurred shortly after 9 a.m. On Wednesday, Police said a black male walked into the CU, got in a teller's line and when it was his turn to be served passed a note to the employee which she believes stated, "Put it in the bag."

The teller emptied her drawer and put the cash on the counter, and then the man walked out of the branch. Police didn't note in their report whether the robber displayed a weapon or not.

Thursday the robber walked in, demanded cash and indicated he had a weapon, but did not display one, according to initial reports. He walked out the front door in an unknown direction. In both crimes, the amount of money stolen was not disclosed.

No staff or members were injured.

Friday morning the Dayton Daily News reported that Elvin Hines has been named as a suspect in the robberies, and that his brother, Von Blevins, wants Hines to turn himself in.
