UK Gov't Seeks To Boost CUs

LONDON - The British government has published a "consultation document" it says is aimed at showing commitment to the country's mutual financial services sector by ensuring it has identified the sector's needs and put forward the best solutions to ensure those needs are met. According to the government, approximately 50% of the UK population (30 million) belongs to a mutual organization and mutual control approximately £400 billion in assets.
