SANTA ANA, Calif. – Communidad Latina FCU joined seven banks to offer low-cost accounts to unbanked individuals as part of the Bank on Santa Ana program.
The program, which also will feature financial literacy education, is part of a series that has spread to seven California cities and follows the kickoff of the Bank on Sacramento program two weeks ago.
The city and Orange County United Way are running the Bank on Santa Ana project. The seven banks that have signed up to participate and offer the special checking accounts are: Bank of America, Bank of the West, Chase Bank, Citibank, Pan American Bank, Union Bank and Wells Fargo.
