Shiloh of Alexandria FCU is introducing a mortgage lending program this month that will help its 700 members buy their first homes.
The mortgages will be provided through CU National Mortgage Corp., a subsidiary of U.S. Mortgage Corp., and Fannie Mae has pledged to buy the mortgages made by the $1 million credit union. NCUA Board member Deborah Matz, who helped organize the program, as well as Alexandria Mayor William Euille and U.S. Rep. James Moran, will help kick-off the program during a ceremony Sept. 30 at Shiloh Baptist Church, the credit union's chief sponsor.
