HONOLULU – University of Hawaii FCU said it has partnered with a consumer science professor at the University and a local elementary school on a new youth savings account that will start with a $25 donation.

The credit union’s "Super Star Savings Account" will be opened with a $25 donation from the Hawaii Community Foundation and will be supplemented by deposits from the students.
The account includes a Star coin bank, a special dividend rate and passbook to track savings with interactive games.
