MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin CU opened its fourth Milwaukee area branch in a newly constructed building in the Town of Brookfield.
The new UW CU branch was built on the site of a former Equitable Bank branch.
The $1.5-billion credit union added a branch across from Mayfair mall in Wauwatosa in 2010 after it bought a branch from Amcore Bank before Amcore failed and was closed by regulators.
It also has branches on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus and in Glendale. It plans to open a West Allis branch at a former Blockbuster video store site next year.
