IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. – This community will lose a major employer when credit union giant ESL FCU builds a new corporate headquarters in nearby Rochester, but another credit union tenant, Xerox FCU–soon to be renamed Xceed FCU–will fill part of the void.

The $770 million credit union announced Tuesday as part of its rebranding and expansion it will build a two-story regional hub here to support five new branches it plans to build in the area over the next three years.
The switch still will amount to a net job loss for the community, with Xerox/Xceed FCU expected to add 100 jobs, and ESL FCU moving 300 jobs to Rochester.
