KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Forty years after being founded to serve the University of Tennessee, UT FCU is returning to where it started and is opening a branch on campus here.
The branch will open inside the Carolyn P. Brown Memorial University Center and will be the only financial institution on campus. The credit union already operated five ATMs on the university.
UTFCU originally opened on campus and moved several times, before finally outgrowing existing space in the early 1990s. Its main office is located just off campus. The new branch will be the credit union’s fifth.
