RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Credit Union has awarded $62,500 in college scholarships to 25 student members through its 2010 Dorothy J. Hall Scholarship Program, named for the former president of the $2 billion credit union.
The winners of the $2,500 grants include 15 high school graduates from the Class of 2010 and 10 current college students.
Since 1991, the credit union has awarded more than $550,000 in scholarships to student members.
