SAN FRANCISCO – Visa said yesterday it is starting a mobile money transfer pilot that will allow its cardholders to use their cell phones to send funds directly to another cardholder.
The pilot will allow cardholders to initiate money transfers and will include several Visa issuers and 6,000 cardholders.
The pilot is scheduled to begin by the end of 2008 and be expanded next year.
