SAN FRANCISCO - (09/29/04) -- Wells Fargo & Co., whichoperates one of the largest international remittance networks, saidit has signed with Mexico's Grupo Financiero Banorte to offerremittance services through the company's 1,000 branches and 2,500ATMs in Mexico. The deal extends Wells' reach to 4,000 branches and10,700 ATMs in Mexico. Banorte, Mexico's fourth largest bank,remitted more than $600 from the U.S. to Mexican recipients lastyear.
