WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – Western Division FCU yesterday said its 8,500 members shared a $1 million bonus dividend on New Year’s Day, the credit union’s biggest ever.
This is the fifth consecutive year the $90 million credit union has declared a bonus dividend, returning more than $2.3 million to its members. The credit union distributed a $500,000 bonus dividend in 2006, $300,000 in 2005 and a $250,000 bonus dividend in 2003 and 2004.
“The declaration of this bonus dividend represents just one of the many benefits of membership with Western Division and is one of the principles that set us apart from other financial institutions,” says Craig Mellenthien, President/CEO.
The amount returned to each member this year was based on total dividends earned during 2007 on all Savings, Term Certificates, IRA Savings & Term Certificates, and Money Market accounts.
