BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Education CU donated $10,200 to local non-profit organizations as part of its annual Social Responsibility program. Donations went to: Marianne’s House; Support Officer Community Care; Kulshan Community Land Trust; GRADS Teen Parent program; Lighthouse Mission Ministries; Whatcom Hispanic Organization; Bellingham Childcare & Learning Center; and to the National Alliance on Mental Illness The credit union’s Social Responsibility Committee oversees monetary donations and participation in sweat equity projects. The program supports education, health and community-related projects.
