CHANDLER, Ariz. – A crafty robber who has baffled the security staff at Desert Schools FCU the past five months, was arrested here last week after he apparently hit an office of the credit union a fifth time since the end of October.
The suspect, who hit two of the credit union giant’s branches twice each, as well as another branch, was dubbed the ‘Wilson Bandit’ by authorities because like the next-door neighbor in the tv show ‘Home Improvement’ he hid the top of his face during each hold-up.
Chandler Police arrested Jorge Gutierrez, 30, on Tuesday after he allegedly robbed and fled the Desert Schools FCU branch inside a Wal-Mart.
He is also charged with robbing a Bank of America branch.
