PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Police arrested a woman they suspect of robbing Columbus CU Tuesday while her three-year-old was outside in the truck she later used as a getaway vehicle.
The woman, identified as Jennefer Gomes, 34, wore a wig and Halloween mask. She allegedly told the teller she had an explosive device, according to police.
Police, who had leads about the robber, stopped her while she was driving three hours later. Her son was in the truck.
Police recovered a portion of the money that was stolen and are continuing their investigation.
Gomes was charged with first degree bank robbery.
