NCUF Executive Search Underway
WASHINGTON-The National Credit Union Foundation has officially gotten its national search for a new executive director underway. Gary J. Oakland, president and CEO of BECU in Tukwila, Wash., was named chairman of the search committee, which aims to find a new director by the spring. Previous director Steve Deflin resigned from the Foundation late last year to take a position elsewhere. Oakland said a new foundation leader would need a deep background in the cooperative industry and be recognized as a leader in the movement.
CU Retail Delivery Convention Set
ONTARIO, Calif.-PSCU Financial Services and Ongoing Operations have once again joined the FFCC to co-host the Credit Union Retail Delivery Convention this year. The event will take place in Chicago from June 30-July 2, at the Renaissance Hotel. Former Head of Special Initiatives for Google and Twitter Advisor, Chris Sacca will be headlining the event and plans to speak about his Google experience and social media expertise and helping CUs learn how to construct empowering and innovative workplace cultures.

ME CUs Raise $375K To End Hunger
WESTBROOK, Maine-Maine's credit unions have raised $375,923 as part of the league's Campaign for Ending Hunger, the largest amount the annual effort has ever raised. Funds raised are disbursed to food pantries in the home markets of the CUs that raised the funds. Since 1990, the Maine campaign has raised $3.5 million to help end hunger in Maine.
