MADISON, Wis.-The Credit Union Executives Society has announced the winners of three partial scholarships for its 2007 CEO Institute program: Daniel Berry, CEO, Duke University FCU, Durham, N.C.; Jon Hernandez, CEO, CalCom FCU, Torrance, Calif. and Brad Houle, CEO, Forward Financial CU, Niagara, Wis.

The three-year CEO Institute is an academic and leadership learning opportunity tailored specifically for credit union senior executives.

PCUA Lifetime Awards Announced

HARRISBURG, Penn.-The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association announced the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to Bruce Foulke, CEO, American Heritage FCU, Philadelphia, the winner of the William W. Pratt Professional of the Year Award and Dale Pickering, Treasurer, People First FCU, Allentown, the winner of the Joseph A. Moore Volunteer of the Year Award.

The awards will be presented at the Association's Annual Convention, Saturday, May 19, in Hershey, Penn.

AACUC Names Award Recipients

WASHINGTON-Two NCUA officers have won the African American CU Coalition's Pete Crear Lifetime Achievement Award for 2007. NCUA Region III Director Alonzo Swann and NCUA Director of the Office of Small CU Initiatives Tawana James took this year's top honors an will be honored at the aACUC's 9th Annual Summer Conference in Baltimore, Aug. 10. The award was developed four years ago to recognize CU professionals or volunteers "whose sustained excellence in career achievements exemplify" the ACCUC's mission to "increase the global credit union movement's strength by adding the focused perspective and energy of credit union volunteers and professionals of African-American and African descent."
