Holub Elected AACUL Chair
WASHINGTON–Missouri Credit Union Association CEO Rosie Holub was elected as the new chair of the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL).
The Missouri league noted Holub will be the first person from the MCUA to serve in AACUL leadership. She is also the first woman to hold the position.
NAFCU Calls For Awards Entries
ARLINGTON, Va.–NAFCU announced its 2008 Award Programs will consist of three separate competitions: Marketing Awards, Grassroots Activism Awards and its prestigious Annual Awards Competition, which includes a new annual category that will recognize an outstanding CU employee. Alliance Wins FOM Expansion
FENTON, Mo.–Alliance CU received final approval for a field-of-membership expansion to serve people who reside or work in Jefferson County from the Missouri Division of Credit Unions, the Missouri CU Association reported, noting it is the first geographic expansion granted by the division since the Missouri General Assembly passed the new FOM bill late last year.
Wilserv Absorbed By Okla. Central
TULSA, Okla.–The $75-million WilServ Credit Union has been absorbed via merger by the $245-million Oklahoma Central Credit Union. Ther merger will add three branches to OCCU's six-branch network. The combined CU will serve 35,000 members.
Decker Joins National CU Foundation
MADISON, Wis.–Former consultant Tom Decker this week joined the staff of the National Credit Union Foundation as national program director for the Credit Union Center for Social Impact Management.
Decker will continue to have primary responsibility for the CU Development Education program and the Social Impact Management program.
