Emerson Named CEO of CULC
WALLINGFORD, Conn.–Dr. Anthony L. Emerson has been named CEO of the CU League of Connecticut. Emerson has been serving as VP-Finance/Accounting/ Operations with Maine Savings FCU and has also authored a number of op/eds for Credit Union Journal. He will replace Kevin Chandler, who earlier resigned the position.

Martin, McPheters To Retire
SAN DIEGO–Two well-known CEOs at CUs in California have announced retirement plans. Jim McPheters, president and CEO of California Coast CU for more than 21 years, plans to retire April 1. In San Diego, Ron Martin, CEO of the $1.8-billion Mission FCU for the past 12 years, said he would retire April 30.
Two Sign On With Savings Plan
WILMINGTON, Del.–Delaware Alliance CU and Eagle One CU have signed on with the “First State Saves” campaign, aimed at encouraging Delawareans to build wealth and get out of debt. The campaign is being coordinated by the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute.
AACU Hosts ‘A Night With The CEO’
FORT WORTH, Texas–American Airlines FCU hosted “A Night with the CEO” in which John Tippets shared the the 29-day survival story of his father, Joseph Tippets, a former CAA/FAA employee who was in an airplane crash in Alaska during January 1943.
