Deadline To Enroll In DE Program

MADISON, Wis.-The deadline is May 7 to sign up for the National Credit Union Foundation's Development Education (DE) program. The six-day program explores the social mission and uniqueness of credit unions and will be offered on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus from June 3 to 8. The NCUF noted many who have attended credit the program for "changing their lives."

U.S. Central Elects Directors

LENEXA, Kan.-U.S. Central CU elected four board members during its annual meeting. The new directors include Chairman Ed Fox, president/CEO of Mid-Atlantic Corporate FCU; Vice Chairman Dave Preter, president/CEO of Mid-States Corporate FCU; Treasurer Tom Kuehl, president/CEO of Iowa League Corporate Central CU; and Secretary Joe Herbst, president/CEO of Empire Corporate FCU.

Mayo To Fill CUNA Board Seat

CHATSWORTH, Calif.-Grace Mayo, president of Telesis Community CU, has been elected to a seat on the CUNA board for a term ending in October of this year. Mayo was elected to the seat on the board for District 6, Class B Class B represents credit unions with 16,000 to 58,999 members in the West and Pacific states. She replaces Ron McDaniel, who resigned the seat earlier this year after taking a CEO position at a credit union outside of the class criteria.

Campus Council Elects Board

WASHINGTON-The Campus CU Council has elected its board and officers. Elected were: chair, Gilbert Niimi of Silver State Schools, Las Vegas; vice chair, Sekhar Suryanarayana of CU for Berkeley (Calif.) Students; secretary, Tim Attinger of Pennsylvania State Employees CU, Harrisburg, and treasurer, Stacia Clark, Kent State Student CU, Kent, Ohio. Other board members include Gregg Baird of Aggieland CU, College Station, Texas; Willard Hopkins of First Miami Student and Alumni FCU, Oxford, Ohio; and Carol Middaugh of Corporate One FCU, Columbus, Ohio.
