Barreto Headlines NCUA Program

WASHINGTON-Small Business Administration Administrator Hector Barreto will deliver the keynote address at NCUA's Access Across America Economic Empowerment Summit July 20 in Milwaukee.

"We are pleased to have Administrator Barreto address the participants of the Economic Empowerment Summit. Administrator Barreto's strong interest in economic empowerment, through credit union access, reaffirms the Administration's commitment to extending greater access to capital and credit," said NCUA Chair JoAnn Johnson. "The SBA's support has enhanced the opportunity for credit union members to have a financial partner they can count on as their small businesses flourish and create more jobs."

NCUA has issued a proposed rule that amends MBL regs to enable FCUs to participate more fully in SBA's guaranteed loan programs, Johnson added.
